Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out Off White Wedding. Pictured below is me at my friend's wedding for a bridal party band shoot. Silly yes?

This whole thing started when my two super close friends announced they were getting engaged. I was already secretly reading wedding blogs (unmarried and unengaged prevented me from confessing this fact...sad I know) for a few years, I volunteered to help them and it snowballed and consumed the Bride's and my life for a good 6 months. I am still so into weddings, I like writing about sometimes silly ideas and things I find beautiful that in some way pertain to weddings.

I guess my opinion about how a wedding should be or my blog "style" is part traditional, part untraditional. Simply I think a wedding should be whatever you want it to be...whether in the ballroom at the Ritz, or crashing a redwood forest. or both! I can fall in love with both ideas very easily. I love DIY, but I love the work of so many vendors, it's hard for me to not go off about their talent. I have no desire to send mixed messages, I just want to post a little of everything and I hope you enjoy it.

The biggest inspiration for me has been my wonderful parents (married for 32 years! woot! woot!). They were married in 1977, at City Hall in San Francisco, my Mom wore a stunning white custom suit (which I wish she had saved!), made by her sister (my Aunt) and my Dad wore the coolest tie ever made. That's what they wanted for their wedding...and it was perfect. I took their example to heart and realized that you don't have to spend $100k to have a beautiful wedding or even $10k, if it's what you want and your with the person you want to marry, anything goes as far as I am concerned. I just hope my little blog is able to be of some use to you in your wedding plans, or in feeding your wedding obsession.

Below is me as a flower girl at my Aunt's wedding, I think that day is responsible for my current state. :)

Happy to have you here, come back anytime.

Love,

Hillary
