It's a Beautiful Life.

Sorry I've been gone, I can explain...later.

But a few things have been on my mind...

These laterns from India Rose are amazing!

I love She and Him's new album: listen here (p.s. thanks NPR)

Can I justify wearing this dress to 2 weddings? Totally different crowds at each wedding so no one will know. But…FB pics....

I am obsessed with this nail color. I walked all the way to Saks to get it. I was nervous about going as I was not dressed very nicely (Sloppy jeans, cardigan and flip flops, day old hair...yuck). But I was beyond floored at how genuinely nice everyone was (and I am usually pretty good at spotting a fake).

My brother is dating a genius and she got into medical school. Go Maggie!

A dear friend is back in the Bay Area from living far, far away. He is an amazing wedding cinematographer and getting married soon. I can't wait to introduce him to you!

I am reading The Romantics by Galt Niederhoffer. It's generally about a wedding but the book is more emo, less light and fluffy i.love.it. I am excited to see the film version (the cast looks fantastic). It's kinda unique and cool that the author of the book is also the Director of the movie.

Confession: I used to, at all costs, avoid telling people that I am from Marin County. It's silly but usually when I tell people they would be  "ooooooooh...." with eye brows raised and then they'd stop talking to me. I am a fan of this FB page and that kinda sums it up. But lately I have re-fallen in love with my homeland just North of the GG Bridge (although still incredibly loyal to my true love, San Francisco). I would like to write a City Guide for Design Sponge (perhaps a certain someone would like to collabo with me on this? ;) ), my hands down favorite restaurants are all there and their are tons of great and unique shopping spots.

not so great Sunday

The low point of my weekend happened a few hours ago when my iphone was stolen...and it was only 20 days old...I was pretty upset, mostly because I had a big brainstorm session on the postings for Off White this week. I can remember 3 of 5 that I typed up with my handy squarespace app. I also surely missed a call from a V.I.B. (Very Important Bride), sorry Jen, check your email...

Thanks to Marc, Max, and Kevin who missed the last three minutes of the Superbowl running around the financial district trying to find the thief. I have great friends.

I know it's a silly loss when you think of the things that other people are going through in the world right now. I hope the lady who stole my phone is at least happy to have the money from selling it. And I hope she does something good with the money. Maybe wishful thinking...

Ok, enough wallowing...back to regularly scheduled programming tomorrow. Thanks for reading, you are all appreciated.

India Rose was really sweet to put my name on the flier since I am just a little blogger in the big www :) So please come on down, we'd love to meet you. This is the first of hopefully many workshops we'll be doing in 2010, your feedback is appreciated for any subject you'd like to learn about in this beautiful space:
